The scholarship is open to 2009 year 12 school leavers or 2008 year 12 school leavers who had had a gap year in 2009.

Recipients of this scholarship must be enrolled as a 2010 commencing student with Central Queensland University Australia in one of the following programs:

- Bachelor of Environmental Science (CA42);
- Bachelor of Engineering (CA87);
- Bachelor of Engineering (Co-op)/Diploma of Professional Practice (CF47).

Scholarship Eligibility:

- Demonstrated academic achievement and work experience.
- Demonstrated career aspirations in the mining and energy sector
- Demonstrated leadership and ambassadorial skills reflecting your contribution to community and school.
