Tallinn University of Technology
Located in the capital city of Estonia, Tallinn University of Technology(TUT) is the only university of technology in Estonia, and one of the three most important institutions of higher education in Estonia. Tallinn University of Technology is internationally renowned and known as a reliable partner and is committed to the collaboration in the Baltic Sea region, European and worldwide networks. Admission to the international programs of Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia) has been most successful in the autumn of 2009. The number of international students is bigger for 33, 8% compared to the last year. Tallinn University of Technology (TUT) enrolled 127 international students in 2009.
How to apply
Tallinn University of Technology offers a wide variety of educational degree programmes in the bachelor, master and doctoral level, which include both traditional and new fields of modern technology and business.
International Programs at TUT focus on three study fields: Information Technology, Business Administration and Engineering.
- Bachelor level applicants are required to have completed their secondary education and possess university eligibility. According to the Estonian legislation for admission to higher education institutions applicants should have achieved at least 50% of the possible graduation score.
- Master level applicants are required to have completed Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent.

Student Scholarships and Exchanges
All PhD students at Tallinn University of Technology can study free of tuition fees and receive additional support from the University and Estonian Ministry of Education. Also every year a limited number of tuition scholarships providing exemption from tuition fee will be available to international students for the following Master degree programmes:
• Industrial Engineering and Management
• Environmental Management and Cleaner Production
• Technology Governance
• Materials and Processes of Sustainable Energetics
• Health Care Technology
• Cyber Security

EXCHANGE STUDENTS – students who come to study at TUT in the frames of exchange programmes (e.g ERASMUS) or bilateral agreements for one semester up to one academic year, do not pay tuition fee.
VISITING STUDENTS (free-movers) are coming to TUT for a short period (one semester up to one academic year) without any cooperation agreement. They pay the tuition fee.
