Kaunas University of Technology is one of the most significant centres of the Lithuanian science and an important part of the global university community. Kaunas University of Technology is the largest technical university in the Baltic States and the second largest university in Lithuania.
For more than 17000 students that study there, there are 120 undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programmes taught at Kaunas University of Technology. 2 undergraduate and 10 graduate (Master‘s) programmes are taught in English.

How to apply

The main prerequisites for international applicants are:
- For undergraduate programme – twelve years secondary or equivalent education in any other country than Lithuania
- For Master’s programme – a minimum of a 3 year University bachelor’s degree

Applicants from the EU and EEA countries
Applicants from the EU and EEA countries as well as the persons having permanent residence permit in Lithuania may apply for studies under the same conditions as Lithuanian applicants.
The application for undergraduate studies is through joint admission network Association of Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions, which unites all university type higher education institutions in Lithuania.

International applicants from any other country
International applicants from any other country as well as the EU citizens who apply directly to KTU are accepted via KTU International Office.

Student Scholarships and Exchanges

The University offers top quality education, based on high level research and innovations. It promotes free enquiry and participation in the knowledge accumulation and skill formation process through a rational use of possibilities provided by the scholarship system, research, international and national programmes, consultancy and professional practice.

Students may come to Kaunas University of Technology for exchange studies (1-2 semesters) in undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in technological, physical and social sciences, humanities and arts on the basis of:

•    More than 200 Erasmus agreements, signed with 174 institutions of higher education,
•    Bilateral agreements between universities,
•    Academic exchange programmes between countries.

All exchange students coming to study to KTU on the basis both Erasmus and bilateral agreements are excempted from paying the tuition fee.
