Vilnius Gediminas Technical University is one of the two technical universities in Lithuania. The University trains Bachelors, Engineers and Masters of sciences according to 88 programmes of studies, including Humanities sciences, Physical sciences, Social sciences, Technological sciences. The university also organises Doctoral studies in 15 areas (ie Technological, Humanities, Social, and Physical sciences, etc).
The aim of the University is to do what is mostly helpful for the State. All the faculties have the right for Habilitation. This certifies that the University’s scope of education and research is rather versatile and of high academic level.

How to apply

Applications can not be processed unless they include all the following:
•    Completed application form (you can get here) ;
•    Certificate of Education (Secondary/ Undergraduate degree, etc) including Grades;
•    Curriculum Vitae;
•    English profficiency certificate;
•    Medical Certificate (including AIDS test);
•    4 Passport Photos;
•    A Copy of Passport;
•    Cheque of Application Fee of 100 EUR (non-refundable);
•    Certificate from a foreign bank and notarized letter of guarantee from parents/sponsors along with a document about their financial abilities (present to Lithuania Embassy).
Note: Legalized and notarized English translation are required for all Education documents.

Student Scholarships and Exchanges

With the intent of fostering interest in Lithuanian education, cultural identity and history among emigrated Lithuanians returning to their homeland, the Republic of Lithuania’s Ministry of Education and Science has confirmed a set of guidelines by which students with foreign high-school-equivalent educations could apply for studentship at Lithuanian academic institutions and for the scholarships this status grants to native citizens. Ministry of Education provides scholarships for Lithuanian language studies for students from Belarus, Montenegro, Mongolia, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
