BBC documentary contest – My World

No-one sees the world the same way. The BBC wants to see things from perspective of individuals – and create a unique picture of our lives today across the planet. BBC is looking for original films that individuals think the world should know about and will shortlist films that are emotionally touching, important or visually impactful. BBC is seeking short (no longer than 2 minutes) documentary video entries to free contest about “how you see the world.”

Award
Five prestigious MyWorld curators will each be assigned films from a particular continent. The chosen videos will be available to view online and on BBC World News. An overall winner will then be chosen and receive a prize of a semi-professional HD mini DV camcorder.

Eligibility
Each film must be relevant to one of the five major continents – Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
The maximum file size that the uploader can accept is 50mb.(The uploader can accept the following file types: avi, mov, wmv, mp4, mpg, flv, 3gp, wav, mp3, wm)

Submition procedure
The applicants need to fill the registration form including name, email address, some background information about your video etc. and upload the video itself and send it to: mybbc@bbc.co.uk

The application deadline 12th March, 2010.
