Call for: applications

The European Cultural Foundation, the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and the European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres have officially launched the call for applications for the 2010 Cultural Policy Research Award (CPR).

Designed to foster academic and applied cultural policy research and to explore issues at stake in contemporary Europe, the Cultural Policy Research Award aims to contribute to new competence building among young scholars in comparative cultural policy research.

Eligibility
* the CPR Award competition is open to candidates from all European countries;
* candidates must be able to speak and write in English;
* candidates must be educated to M.A. level in social sciences, art & humanities, or public policy research, and must be no older than 35 at the time of applying.

Theme
The Award should stimulate research on issues that challenge Europe today and stimulate applied and comparative research aspects of European cultural policies. By “European”, we mean the region formed by Council of Europe Member States.

The research can apply comparative local, regional, national, large regions and European Union levels.

4 main (but not exclusive) issues will focus on competition in 2010:
1. Developing intercultural and trans-national dimensions of cultural policies
2. European cultural policies in the context of globalisation
3. Social dimensions of cultural policies
4. Values and ethics in cultural policy

Award
The winner of the CPR Award 2010, worth 10,000 euros, will be publicly announced on 6 October during the 18th ENCATC Annual Conference taking place in Brussels (6-8 October 2010).

Application procedure
All interested applicant should submit online application form consists of seven sections (steps):

* Questionnaire

The deadline for submission is by 24th May 2010.
