The Production Programme for Artists

Sharjah Art Foundation builds on the pioneering role Sharjah has played in the artistic and cultural development of the United Arab Emirates and the region. Recognizing the central and distinctive contribution that art makes to society, Sharjah Art Foundation will focus on the production and presentation of the contemporary visual arts.
The Sharjah Art Foundation 2010 announces open call for submissions. In this funding cycle the Production Programme will offer artists grants of up to $100,000 for the realisation of individual projects.
Artists working in a range of media including sculpture, installation, time-based media, artist books and performance are invited to propose imaginative, ambitious and inspirational projects that will transform our understanding of what art is and how it can be experienced.
