Professional artists, designers, architects and curators are eligible to apply for residency at the Nordic Artists’ Centre (nkd) in Norway.

Residency periods are from 2 – 4 months. Applicants are encouraged to indicate preferred time and length of stay in the application but note that the nkd reserves the right to suggest a different period or/and length of residency.

Eligibility
* applicants from outside the Nordic region are expected to be fluent in English;
* the program is not available for students.

Grant
The residency at the Nordic Artists’ Centre includes:
* a monthly grant of 6.700 NOK;
* living and working space;
* covered travel expenses up to 5.500 NOK.

Artists’ houses are fully equipped, studios are 50m², with a wireless internet access available in both houses and studios.

Application procedure
All interested applicants should submit following documents:
1. a CV containing contact information
2. project proposal for the residency
3. short artist statement
4. examples of previous work:
-Up to 10 images ( JPEG, 72 dpi, max 1MB per image)
-and/or Video/sound work ( edited to max. 10 min)
-Link to a website
-Catalogues and publications relating to your work

NB. All material submitted by e-mail should be Macintosh compatible. Application material will not be returned.

All the mentioned documents should be submitted until 1st June 2010 by email to: residency@nkdale.no
