Artists in Residency, Romania

The Romanian cultural Association Assistance – Education – Representation is looking to establish links with young career promising professional visual artists for opening of an artists-in-residency programme in Cluj, Romania, starting 15 of October 2010.

The Residency Programme can last from 2 to 12 months and intends to provide an working space for visual artists, most likely with an interest for painting, sculpture, installation. Participants may also gain a new experience in artistic creation and research by immersion in the Romanian culture and intercultural exchange.

Eligibility

* young career promising professional visual artists (under 30 years old);
* preferably with an interest for painting, sculpture, installation;
* performance artists are also considered.

Grant
* an individual living space connected with the working space, with food and accommodation included;
* a small monthly stipend for personal use;
* travel costs reimbursement;
* project budget.

Application procedure
All interested applicants should submit following documents:
1. documentation of selected works
2. artist’s statement
3. short explanation why applicant would like to take part in the programme
4. CV.

The portofolio-application should be submitted by by email to Luminita Ratiu: luminita.r@gmail.com no later than the 20th  August 2010.
