JoinEU-SEE Scholarships

Open to: Students and staff member from Western Balkan countries and EU partner universities
Fund: depends on the level of mobility

Eligibility

Students and staff members of all partner universities, both from the Western Balkan countries and EU & Candidate countries, as well as other nationals of Western Balkan countries, can apply for scholarships. Please note that exchange between two EU/Candidate Countries and within the Western Balkans is not possible.

Mobility of European Nationals to Western Balkan Universities
In order to be eligible, applicants:

  • must have the nationality of one of the eligible European countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Turkey, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway);
  • must have sufficient knowledge of the language of the courses or of one of the languages currently spoken in the hosting countries;
  • must belong to one of the target group 1.

For post-doctorate mobility only:

  • must have obtained their doctorate in the last two years and must have the support of one of the European partner universities to carry out a postdoctorate mobility. This can be for research, training and attending highly specialised course.

For Undergraduate students only:

  • must have successfully completed at least one year of studies at higher education level.

Mobility of Western Balkan Nationals to European Universities
In order to be eligible, applicants:

  • must have the nationality of one of the Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR of Macedonia, Kosovo (as defined under UNSCR 1244/99), Montenegro, Serbia and
  • must have sufficient knowledge of the language of the coursesmust belong to one of the three target groups.

Scholarships

The amount of scholarship depends on the level of mobility. Here you can find the specific information.

Application

The current call for applications will be open until 01 February, 2011.

You can apply online. The online application consists of two steps.
Step 1 consists of:
- Main data (a picture needs to be uploaded as well)
- Profile
- Language skills
- Motivation statement

Step 2 consists of:
- Documents to be uploaded
- Priority for host universities

    if you wish to apply as degree seeking student “in order to be eligible, students must have finished their undergraduate studies (BA or equivalent) before the JoinEU-SEE mobility period has started”.

    If you wish to study as exchange student, you can apply now.
