sehir university logo1.jpg1 150x150 Istanbul Şehir Universityİstanbul Şehir University is a private, non-profit, state-recognized institution founded in 2008 and located in İstanbul, Turkey. The University is financially supported by the Foundation for Sciences and Arts and aims to be one of the leading research institutions of Turkey in the near future. Last year the university accepted 330 undergraduate students, 30 of which were international students from 18 countries, and 58 graduate students in total. This year the university will accept 60 international students from all over the world. The language of instruction is English.

Scholarships

İstanbul Şehir University gives priority to internationalization through academic cooperation and exchange programs with universities abroad and the recruitment of international degree students. The international degree students comprised 10% of the entire undergraduate student body in the 2010-2011 academic year and this percentage is expected to reach 15% by the next academic year. To this end, in the 2011-2012 academic year, all international students admitted to the undergraduate programs of İstanbul Şehir University will be on either full or partial scholarships. These scholarships are valid for 5 years duration (1 year of English Preparatory Program plus 4 years of undergraduate study).

    My name is Mohamed. I’m from somalia. I finished my high school 2011 but so far i didn’t apply any university due low income of my family. I have got scholarship from Turkey september 2011 but unfortunately i didn’t come to Turkey due to the corruption of somalia. Other student was given to my scholarship because he paid some money i don’t have any money, even my family can’t avoid more than the three times of food.

    Therefore; i am kindly requesting you to give me full scholarship to make my family at least from low level to middle. And to be an educator…
