<p>Katholieke Universiteit Leuven has a large number of faculties, departments and schools. They are generally divided into those belonging to Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Engineering and Technology, Biomedical Sciences, as well as the Intergroup/Interuniversity Institutes comprising the European Centre for Ethics, Higher Institute of Labour Studies (HIVA), Interfaculty Centre for Agrarian History, University Statistics Centre (UCS), University of Leuven Energy Institute, Interface &#8211; Centre K.U.Leuven &#8211; Caritas Catholica (LUCAS).</p>
<h3>How to apply</h3>
<p>In order to enroll at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven student have to fulfill specific diploma and language requirements. Detailed description can be found in the <a href="http://www.kuleuven.be/admissions/index.html" target="_blank">admissions section</a> of the official website. The official language of instruction at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven is Dutch. However, English taught courses are also available.<br />
K.U.Leuven only accepts exchange students in the framework of the official EU exchange programmes or as part of one of the many formally signed exchange agreements between K.U.Leuven and partner institutions abroad. Students should first check whether their home university has an exchange agreement with K.U.Leuven in the field of study they are interested in applying for.</p>

There are two deadlines per academic year:  15 March and 15 October.<br />
For the agreements with European partners, there is an extra deadline on 15 January.<br />
All applications should be sent to the International Office of the candidate&#8217;s home university.</p>
<h3>Exchange students and scholarships</h3>
<p>Some students from abroad are granted the status of “exchange student”. Most of them take part in one of the European Commission’s educational programmes, such as Lifelong Learning Programme/ Erasmus . Others are visiting Leuven in the framework of an exchange agreement at faculty level between their home university and K.U.Leuven. <p>Scholarships for studying at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel are available. The International Relations and Mobility Office supports international students; it provides information regarding:<br />

The language of instruction is Dutch. Some departments offer English courses, such as de Conservatory or Business Management. Erasmus University College Brussels comprises professional and academic education in 8 disciplines, namely Architecture, Audiovisual and Plastic Arts, Health Care, Business Management, Industrial Sciences and Technologies, Music and Performing Arts, Education, Social Work and Applied Linguistics.</p></blockquote>
<p>It boasts a student-oriented approach through intense tutoring. All departments are involved in the restructuring processes of educational innovation. ICT-based teaching and learning, modularisation and problem-based teaching are some of these on-going processes. Erasmus University College Brussels uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), which facilitates both curriculum comparison and student exchanges.</p>
<h3>How to apply</h3>
<p>Students who want to attend a degree programme at the Erasmus University College Brussels must have an adequate knowledge of Dutch which is the language of instruction (level 5 Dutch as a Foreign Language). The only exception to this requirement is the programme of the Royal Conservatoire of Music that welcomes students from all over the world each year.<br />
To enroll as a regular student in one of the bachelor’s degree programmes, you have to submit following documents:<br />
•    a certified translation into English, French or Dutch of your diploma of secondary education<br />
•    a certified copy of that diploma<br />
•    an official document from the ministry of education or from a legal educational body certifying that your diploma of secondary education entitles you access to university in your own country or gives you the opportunity to participate in the entry examinations for universities</p>
<p>If you have already studied at a university, we need a certified copy of your diploma or certificate and a certified translation into English, French or Dutch of that diploma or certificate<br />
If you want to enroll at the Royal Conservatoire of Music  or at the RITS, you will have to pass an artistic entrance examination. The Institute of Development Policy and Management (IOB), the University of Antwerp Management School (UAMS) and the Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp (ITMMA) have an autonomous status, on a range of a faculties. Doctoral programmes are available  in most faculties.<br />

<h3>How to apply</h3>
<p>International students wanting to study at the University of Antwerp should meet specific diploma and language requirements listed in the <a href="http://www.ua.ac.be/main.aspx?c=.ENGLISH&amp;n=33427" target="_blank">Admissions and Registration</a> section of the University of Antwerp website. Provided they have further inquiries, they should send them to <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>internationalstudents@ua.ac.be.</em></span></p>
<p>It is important to note that most bachelor and master programmes are taught in Dutch only. Exchange students should check carefully the language of instruction when making a course selection. <p>International students, selected by their home university to study at the University of Antwerp as part of an exchange programme, should be announced by their home university to the UA International Relations Office for admission. More information on the application procedure will be sent directly to the announced students by e-mail or can be downloaded from the website of the University of Antwerp.</p>
<h3>Student exchanges and scholarships</h3>
<p>University of Antwerp participates in a number of European educational programmes. Namely, Erasmus, Grundtvig, Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, Erasmus Mundus, Jean Monnet, EU – USA, Tempus: Tacis, Meda, Cards, Alfa, and Asia link.<br />
