The University of Cyprus (UCY) is a public university based in the Capital of Cyprus, Nicosia. It was the first university to be established in 1989 in Cyprus. University has over 5,000 students enrolled in 73 graduate and 31 undergraduate programmes. The University has six faculties: The Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Letters, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education.

International Life Long Learning Programmes Office

The International Life Long Learning Prgrammes Office is responsible for the coordination of the International Cooperation and International Relations of the University of Cyprus as well for informing the academic community on European programmes. It deals with Bilateral Agreements of Cooperation with Universities and organizations in Cyprus, Europe and the rest of the world and with exchange programmes under the Life Long Learning programme such as Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius, Grundtvig, Marie Curie, and ERASMUS MUNDUS, inter Mediterranean programmes of cooperation such as MEDA, Euromed, the TEMPUS programme and has the responsibility of disseminating information about Summer Schools to the student community. LLP/Erasmus

The University of Cyprus participates in the EU-sponsored LLP/ERASMUS Programmes, which allow the exchange of students and staff with European universities. Exchanges depend upon the mutual recognition of the educational study programmes by the host and sending universities.

ALL incoming students must OFFICIALLY BE NOMINATED by their home institutions to come to the University of Cyprus. Courses in English Language are offered by each department.

At the Language Center of the University of Cyprus you can find language courses in English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian and Turkish. More info.

The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is a young university established in 2004. It is based in Lemesos, the second largest city in Cyprus. Its first intake of students was for the academic year 2007-08. University has five faculties: Faculty of Geotechnical Sciences and Environmental Management, Faculty of Management and Economics, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Applied Arts and Communication and Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

International Student Office

Strives to educate and inform each international student through providing information prior to their arrival, conducting orientation programs, advising on visa and employment matters, legal rights and responsibilities, health insurance, adjustment issues and personal concerns, and coordinating a variety of programs and activities on campus. Identify sources of financing to cover the tuition of international students in the form of scholarships or awards.

Erasmus

The student will receive full academic recognition from the home university for satisfactorily completed activities during the Erasmus mobility period, in accordance with the Learning/Training Agreement. More info.
