<p>BME is structurally divided into the following faculties: Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Faculty of Transportation Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences. There are also a number of centers that operate within different faculties. The Biomechanical Research Center forms part of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The Federated Innovation and Knowledge Center and the Center of Public Administration’s Information Technology are both part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. The Faculty of Transportation Engineering integrates the Advanced Vehicle Control Knowledge Center. And, the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences consists of the Center for Modern Languages, the Institute of Continuing Engineering Education and the Center of Physical Education.</p>

It was established in 1991 with the aim to promote open societies and intensify the democratization process in the former socialist countries from Central and Eastern Europe. CEU’s teaching program focuses on the social sciences and humanities.<br />
As an accredited institution both in Hungary and the United States, the Central European University has adopted the Bologna Process and participates in and helps the modernization of the higher education across Europe.</p></blockquote>
<p>Central European University comprises 300 faculty members (130 permanent, 170 visiting) and 1500 students from 96 countries. Most of CEU applicants are from Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus, Central Asia, but there is a growing number of students coming from other parts of the world. The language of communication and instruction is English. The Central European University offers 30 Master’s programs, 11 Doctoral programs and 2 Bachelor’s programs. It consists of 13 departments plus the CEU Business School and 13 research centers. It is also possible for students to receive financial aid.<br />
CEU collaborates with the Open Society Institute (OSI), by providing academic and professional support to OSI’s global agenda of democratic governance, human rights, and economic, legal and social reform.</p>
<h3>How to apply</h3>
<p>Students wishing to continue their education at CEU should submit the following: a completed online CEU application form, letters of recommendation, academic records, curriculum vitae, a list of the applicant’s publications, if he/she has any, proof of English proficiency and all the requirements warranted by specific programs and departments. <h3>Student exchanges and scholarships</h3>

Students have the following financial aid packages at their disposal: full and partial CEU fellowships for Master’s students, full and partial tuition waivers, CEU doctoral fellowships, as well as different types of financial aid provided by the European Commission or by other public or private donors. It is also possible to receive various research grants and achievement awards. CEU offers a number of opportunities for student <a target="_blank" href="http://www.ceu.hu/academics/exchange" target="_blank">exchange</a>. <p>The university was first established back in 1367 by Anjou king of Hungary, Louis the Great. The current University of Pécs came into existence as a result of the merging of Janus Pannonius University, the Medical University of Pécs and the Illyés Gyula Teacher Training College of Szekszárd in 2000.<br />
Taking part in the Bologna Process since 2006, the University of Pécs provides students with the opportunity to pursue the studies of their choice and easily transfer their credits so as to be able to pursue part of their studies elsewhere.</p>
