<h3>The University Structure</h3>
<p>The University consists of <strong>9 faculties:</strong> Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Catholic Theology, Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Informatics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences.</p>
<h3>Degree studies</h3>
<p>Vytautas Magnus University offers to complete Bachelor’s (Undergraduate), Master’s (Graduate) and PhD’s (Postgraduate) academic degrees. The main language of instructions at the VMU is Lithuanian. Bachelor’s degree studies are currently available only in Lithuanian. Students not fluent in the Lithuanian language may apply for <a target="_blank" href="http://www.trt.vdu.lt/EN/VDU/studies/degree-studies.htm" target="_blank">Master’s degree full time programmes in English</a>.</p>

<p>Vytautas Magnus University welcomes not only degree, but also exchange students.<br />
Exchange students join the community of Vytautas Magnus University within LLP / Erasmus exchange programme, Campus Europae programme or Bilateral Agreements, signed between institutions and students, coming to our institution with <a target="_blank" href="http://www.smpf.lt/index.php?id=1586" target="_blank">Lithuanian Governmental Scholarships</a>.</p>
<h3>Application Procedure</h3>
<p>1. Contact your own department or International Office at your university and find out whether your department or university has an exchange agreement with Vytautas Magnus University.<br />
2. Send to the International Office at VMU all required documents: Application Form for Exchange Students; Accommodation Form for Exchange Students; Learning Agreement; Transcript of Records (translated in English);</p>
<p>Any proof of English proficiency (either from your University or TOEFL results); Copy of passport or your ID card.<br />
3. Send the documents to the International Office (Deadlines: <strong>June 30th</strong> &#8211; Application deadline for Autumn semester; <strong>November 30th</strong> &#8211; Application deadline for Spring semester)</p>

<h3>How to apply</h3>
<p>An international applicant, a person having permanent residency permit in Lithuania, as well as citizens of European Union and European Economic Area countries apply under the same conditions as Lithuanian applicants. All of them are admitted through joint admission: all university type higher education institutions have joined to the Lithuanian Higher Institutions Association for Organizing Joint Admission (Lithuanian Acronym –LAMA BPO). <h3>Student Scholarships and Exchanges</h3>
<p>Nominations according to the conditions stipulated in the agreements or concrete calls for nominations have to be made by the sending country’s authorities; nevertheless, evidence of acceptance of the candidate to the host institution in Lithuania is one of the prerequisites for being awarded a state scholarship. For more information concerning conditions and procedures of application, students are encouraged to contact respective authorities in their home countries.<br />
<strong>Lithuanian state scholarship for the Lithuanian (Baltic) studies<br />
</strong>Students from any other country wishing to pursue studies in the Department of Lithuanian Studies at Vilnius University may apply for the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.smpf.lt/index.php?id=1588" target="_blank">Lithuanian state scholarship </a>designed exclusively for Lithuanian (Baltic) studies. Applications can be submitted directly to the Department of Higher Education and Science. Such scholarships cover only a monthly allowance; tuition fees, accommodation and other expenses have to be secured from other resources.<br />

<p>With the intent of fostering interest in Lithuanian education, cultural identity and history among emigrated Lithuanians returning to their homeland, the Republic of Lithuania’s Ministry of Education and Science has confirmed a set of guidelines by which students with foreign high-school-equivalent educations could apply for studentship at Lithuanian academic institutions and for the scholarships this status grants to native citizens. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.smm.lt/en/index.htm" target="_blank">More information</a>.</p>
<p>Ministry of Education provides scholarships for Lithuanian language studies for students from Belarus, Montenegro, Mongolia, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.<strong><br />

<h3>Student Scholarships and Exchanges</h3>
<p>The University offers top quality education, based on high level research and innovations. It promotes free enquiry and participation in the knowledge accumulation and skill formation process through a rational use of possibilities provided by the scholarship system, research, international and national programmes, consultancy and professional practice.</p>
<p>Students may come to Kaunas University of Technology for exchange studies (1-2 semesters) in undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in technological, physical and social sciences, humanities and arts on the basis of:</p>
<p>•    More than 200 Erasmus agreements, signed with 174 institutions of higher education,<br />
•    Bilateral agreements between universities,<br />

<p>All exchange students coming to study to KTU on the basis both Erasmus and bilateral agreements are excempted from paying the tuition fee.</p>
