<p>The HSE is offering scholarships for the international students applying for short-term and semester program. <p>Today there are 18 master programs in English and a program in Spanish. Students’ recruitment on them started in 2010.</p>
<h3>Scholarships and Admission</h3>
<p>Foreign citizens can get a scholarship for studying at PFUFR ( i.e. tuition financed from a state federal budget) if they are sent there by a special order of the Federal Agency of education of the Ministry of education and science of Russia. Such places are annually allocated for each country, quota are distributed by the Federal Agency of Education by the order of the Russian government. All information about the number of places and entrance procedures is sent via the Russian Embassy to the corresponding ministries of education of foreign countries (approximately in January)</p>

<p>The Finance University consists of 14 faculties, 40 departments, 3 institutes, 2 high schools, 2 research institutes, 8 centers, 2 training &#8211; science laboratories, a network of regional offices &#8211; 11 branches and 4 offices open in seven regions of Russia.</p>
<h3>Exchange Students</h3>
<p>The Financial University maintains long-term ties with many <strong>European partner universities: Frankfurt School of Management, WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management (Koblenz/Vallendar), Hochschule Bremen, University of Cologne and University of Vienna as well as University of Potsdam, University of Toulouse, Lyon School of Management, Banking Institute / College of Banking &#8211; Prague. </strong>A double-degree agreement has been entered into with the two last-named institutions. Every year 12 to 15 exchange students come to the Financial University from the above-mentioned and other universities to make acquaintance of the Russian system of economic education and to attend a number of courses delivered in the Russian or English languages.</p>

<p>Most of the courses are offered <strong>in Russian only</strong>. Applicants to these courses must therefore have an advanced level of Russian. Selected courses at the graduate level are available in the English.</p>

<p>MGIMO-University offers short and long-term Exchange and Visiting programmes for international students who are studying at foreign universities at the time of application. If you are a student of one of our university partners, your are eligible for our Exchange programme. If you are studying at an institution that has no agreement with MGIMO-University, you should apply for our Visiting programme.</p>

V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) is the largest university in Russia. Established in 1755, it also claims to be the oldest university in Russia and to have the tallest educational building in the world. The university has more than 40 000 undergraduates and about 7 000 postgraduate students. Every year Moscow University enrolls about 2 000 international students from all over the world. Moscow University has at its disposal more than 600 buildings and facilities including the sky-scraper on Lenin Hills, occupying over 1 million square metres. The University is named after Academician Mikhail Lomonosov, an  outstanding Russian scientist, who greatly contributed to the  establishment of the university in Moscow.</p></blockquote>
<h3>Tuition</h3>
<p>The academic year at MSU starts in September and ends in June (01.09-30.06.). The tuition for the degree of Bachelor (BSc/BA) 4 academic years; Specialist – 5 (5,5) academic years; Master (MSc/MA) – 2 academic years; Doctor (PhD) – 3 academic years. All the faculties provide the full-time tuition. Post-graduate studies can be either full-time, or part-time. All the courses are given in Russian. The applicants are enrolled according to the results of entrance examinations (interview, test). If you are interested in the curriculum of a particular course, please use the web-sites of the faculties. You can find the list of the sites at the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.msu.ru/en/resources/msu-ws1.html" target="_blank">Centre of International Studies</a> Internet-site. Further information may be requested from the department of international studies of the faculty you are applying to.</p>
<p>The international applicants are supposed to take a test in Russian language or take a course of Russian at MSU Centre of International Studies. If you need to take a course of Russian language, please send all the application documentation to the Centre of International Studies (CIE).</p>

<p>To get the letter of invitation please send (by mail, fax or e-mail) to the department of international studies of the chosen faculty the following documents::<br />
* the application form;<br />
* the photocopy of the first two pages of your passport.</p>
<p>On consideration of your documents you will be sent the letter of invitation. Please find out the details of getting the visa in the Russian Embassy in your country. It takes about 2,5 months to get the letter of invitation, that is why you are recommended to send all the documents not later than 3 months before the beginning of the term.<br />

There are more than 32,000 students in SPBSU, receiving education in more than 323 specialties in 20 faculties. SPbSU staff comprises almost 14,000 people, including nearly 6,000 teachers (1,000 Doctors of Science, over 2,000 Candidates of Science, 42 Academicians of state academies) who represent 289 academic departments.</p></blockquote>
<h3>International Activities</h3>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://ifea.spbu.ru/" target="_blank">Office for International and Foreign Economic Affairs</a> promotes  students, researchers and academic staff exchange programmes and  academic cooperation. At the present time St. Petersburg University  cooperates with 230 higher education institutions of Europe, North  America, Asia and South America, including the University of Cambridge  (Great Britain), the University  of Bologna (Italy), the Free University  of Berlin, the University of  Hamburg (Germany), Carleton University  (Canada), the University of  Amsterdam (the Netherlands), the University  of Stockholm (Sweden), the  Municipal University of Osaka (Japan).The  University is member of 13 international associations and cooperates  with the international organizations.</p>
<h3>Degree Studies</h3>
<p>St. Petersburg State University  currently offers more than 90 degree programmes in more than 30 areas of study. Along with traditional Specialist Degree (5 years Diploma) programmes there are Bachelor Degree (4 years) and Master Degree (2 years) programmes as well as postgraduate studies (Candidate of Science) and doctoral studies (Doctor of Science) available. Those degree programmes are mostly distributed among 20 Faculties, however some of them are multidisciplinary and involve several Faculties.</p>
<p>The language of instruction in most degree programmes is <strong>Russian</strong>. At the same time there are several degree programmes with instruction in <strong>English</strong> and other languages.</p>
<p>St. Petersburg State University also offers more than 20 innovative degree programmes  developed jointly with our foreign partners. A double degree (two diplomas) or a degree from SPSU + Certificate are valuable advantages of these programmes.</p>
<p>Most degree programmes are open for foreign citizens who meet all entry demands and are ready to provide all necessary documents according to the relevant rules and regulations in force.</p>
<p>Foreign citizens should <strong>pay a tuition fee</strong> which varies depending on a certain degree programme.</p>

<h3>Mobility Programmes</h3>

<p>This non-degree mobility programme is offered to foreign students from our Partner Universities who intend to spend 1 or 2 semesters abroad as exchange students within the frames of bilateral cooperation agreements. Incoming mobility within the frames of International Academic Mobility &amp; Students Exchange Programmes is also organized as SEP.</p>
<p>SEP participants choose 1 host faculty at SPSU to attend lectures, seminars and practical training from the curricula provided for the current exchange period.</p>
<p>SEP at SPSU is open for both undergraduate and graduate (master) students, and also for postgraduate (PhD) students who want to attend lectures and seminars. SEP is not earmarked for conducting any separate research.</p>
<p>SEP students can also take a free Russian language course during the whole exchange period.</p>
<p>Depending on conditions stated in a certain cooperation agreement SEP participants could be provided with some of following advantages at SPSU:</p>

* Free accommodation at students&#8217; dormitory<br />
* Monthly scholarship</p>
<p>Applicants should consult with their Home International Office or Students Exchange Coordinator regarding the abovementioned possibilities.</p>

Novosibirsk State University is one of the most famous universities in Russia. The university is located 20 kilometers from the city of Novosibirsk, a cultural and industrial center of Siberia. The total number of students is about 7000.</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Education system</strong><br />
A university course in Russia lasts 5 years, at the end of which students are awarded the title of specialist. Some departments also offer a degree called Bachelor after 4 years of study, equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in the British and American system. Students who complete such a degree may go on to study for further two more years for their Master degree.</p>
<h3>International Activity</h3>
<p>The university has signed more than 40  collaboration agreements with leading universities, academic  organizations and business companies of Europe, Asia and America. Under  the agreements signed the University carries out:</p>
<p>- Double  diploma programs;<br />
- Student and academic exchange programs;<br />
-  Programs of joint scientific supervision;<br />
- Internship programs;<br />
-  Scholarship programs;<br />
- Joint research projects.</p>
<p>International  student body is about 250 students from allover the world  and CIS  countries. They are enrolled:<br />
- In all academic programs of the university, including Ph. D. Studies<br />
- Year –round courses of Russian language for international students.</p>

<p><strong>General notes</strong><br />
* Applicants are encouraged to seek financial aid from foundations and institutions in their home countries.</p>
<p>* Foreign students study in classes with other students.</p>
<p>* Russian language classes are available for all foreign students, either as an aid to full-time students or as an individual programme of Russian study.</p>
<p><strong>Admission Regulations</strong><br />
* A good knowledge of Russian is required (lectures and seminars are given in Russian, except in special cases of individual research, where English knowledge is sufficient for enrollment). Students must take the TORFL Russian language test and score 2 or higher for admission.</p>
<p>* TORFL only is required for admission to the following departments: the Humanities, Foreign Languages, Psychology, and Philosophy.</p>
<p>* TORFL and entrance examinations in mathematics, physics and chemistry are required for admission to the departments of Natural Sciences (biology and chemistry), Economics (mathematics), Mechanics and Mathematics (mathematics), Physics (physics and mathematics). At the other departments examination requirements are defined individually by Dean’s Office basing on the documents, submitted by an applicant.</p>
