<h3>Scholarships</h3>
<p>The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic is intended  to support mobility of foreign students, PhD students, university  teachers and researchers to stay at Slovak universities, research  institutions and non-governmental organizations conducting research on  the basis of an invitation.</p>
<p><strong>Types of scholarships</strong><br />
a) Scholarships for foreign university students (enrolled at least  in the 6th semester) to take part in Master study over a period of 1 to  2 semesters (from 5 to 10 months) at Slovak universities.<br />
b) Scholarships for foreign PhD students to take a part of PhD  study over a period of 1 to 12 months at Slovak universities or research  institutes.<br />
c) Scholarships for foreign university teachers and researchers  over a period of 1 to 12 months to carry out teaching or research at  Slovak universities.</p>

<h3>How to apply</h3>
<p>TUS is a public university, providing a full range of technological  and economic education at both under-graduate and post-graduate levels  for national and international students. Following the principles of  Bologna Declaration, it provides higher education for international  students in the English language in the following study programmes at  three levels:<a target="_blank" href="http://mladiinfo.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/TUKE1.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-3355" style="margin: 5px;" title="TUKE" src="http://mladiinfo.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/TUKE1.jpg" alt="TUKE1 Technical University of Kosice" width="337" height="160" /></a><br />
- <strong>Bachelor’s</strong> study programme which takes three  years at least and four years at most (in the case of architecture, fine  art and design).<br />
- <strong>Master‘s</strong> study programme which  takes two years, so that the total standard duration of study according  to the bachelor study programme and the subsequent master level study  programme in the same or related field of study is altogether a minimum  of five years. The basic condition for admission to the second level  study is graduation from bachelor study.<br />
- <strong>PhD</strong> study programme. The standard length in full-time form is three  years at least and four years at most, duration in part-time form. The  basic condition for the admission to the PhD study programme is  graduation from second level university study.</p>

<h3>International mobility</h3>
<p>International mobility is provided under the ERASMUS program and the CEEPUS Central European program. The university cooperates with more than 150 universities from abroad through bilateral ERASMUS agreements, as well as within a framework of other agreements. Most international activities are organised with the co-operation of European Union countries. Co-operation with other countries in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia and Africa has been developed.</p>
<h3><strong>STUDY IN FOREIGN LANGUAGES</strong></h3>
<p>University is ofering a Study Programme in FRENCH (Management de la Vente), Study Programme in  GERMAN (Internationales Finanzmanagement) as well as Study Programme in  ENGLISH (International Management. <h3>International Students</h3>
<p>The University participate in SOCRATES/ERASMUS, Leonardo da Vinci, CEEPUS, TEMPUS, COPERNICUS, COST, in 5th, 6th, and 7th Framework programmes and many others. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.uniza.sk/projekty/zahr/index_en.html" target="_blank">International Office</a> coordinates the international relationships of the University.</p>
<p><strong>Full-time study</strong><br />
Students who have completed secondary school education, have reached the  age of 18 or more, possess adequate knowledge of English (and  Mathematics for the technical and the economical branches), and are not  Slovak citizens are eligible for the study at the University of Zilina  as self-payers (except for the EU inhabitants who  study under the same conditions as the inhabitants of Slovak republic).</p>

Nitra is known for the traditions of Old Slavonic education and  culture of the Great Moravia period. The university is named after one  of the most important personalities in the history of Nitra and Slovakia  – Constantine the Philosopher. UKF is providing study programmes in education, arts, social, human and natural sciences and health care. The university has  a 50-year long tradition in teacher in the Hungarian language as well as a 13-year tradition of educating social workers for the Roma ethnicity. UKF is the only Slovak university that prepares professionals to operate in Roma communities. With more than 14,000 full-time and part-time students, UKF belongs to the larger Slovak universities.</p></blockquote>
<p>UKF puts much emphasis on international co-operation in all fields of study and research. UMB was established in 1992 after the integration of the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Economics. Banska Bystrica has a long tradition in schooling and culture. It is named after Matej Bel, an outstanding Hungarian-Slovak scholar in   the 18th century. Matej Bel University represents a significant and modern scientific research and educational institution that is one of the biggest universities in Slovakia. Matej Bel University is making important contributions to the European area of education and research (for which it is a part of), providing both high-quality university education as well as a wide spectrum of further education adequate to the needs of practical life.</p></blockquote>

<p>Trnava University in Trnava joined the Socrates/Erasmus project in the academic year 2000/2001 in form of teacher and student mobility. Bilateral agreements.
