University Structure

KTH is organized into nine schools each consisting of a number of departments:

School of Architecture and the Built Environment (ABE)
School of Biotechnology (BIO)
School of Computer Science and Communication (CSC)
School of Electrical Engineering (EE)
School of Industrial Engineering and Management (ITM)
School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
School of Chemical Science and Engineering (CHE)
School of Technology and Health (STH)
School of Engineering Sciences (SCI)

Exchange Students

In order to be accepted at KTH as an exchange student, the applicant must be enrolled at a partner university, i.e. one with which KTH has an exchange agreement. Exchange students are nominated by their home university but the final decision of acceptance is made by KTH and is based on the individual assessment of each application.

There are very limited possibilities to accept free movers (students who do not apply within an exchange agreement), partly due to a difficult accommodation situation. Students with a BSc degree or equivalent may apply for our Master’s programmes taught in English.

Scholarships

KTH offer few scholarships which covers partially the tuition fee. Every student applying for any master programme at KTH are eligible for this scholarship. However, KTH gives priority for students from some specific countries. These countries can change year by year.

Erasmus Mundus Master

KTH coordinates five Erasmus Mundus master’s programmes, all of them starting in autumn 2010. These are: Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering (COSSE);
European Master in Distributed Computing (EMDC); Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems (SELECT); Systems Biology (euSYSBIO); Turbomachinery Aeromechanic University Training (THRUST)
