Karazin Kharkiv National University

Kharkiv National University was founded in 1804, thus becoming the second oldest university in Ukraine and was named after a Ukrainian inventor Vasyl Karazin. Currently, it has 21 faculties and institutes and amounts to about 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students and about 400 postgraduate students as well as 1300 international students from 50 countries.

Kyiv Polytechnic Institute

National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ was founded in 1898. At present the number of students at the KPI exceeds 40,000 and approximately 1,000 of them are international students. Nowadays NTUU “KPI” comprises 20 university departments and 9 scientific-educational institutes.

Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv

The National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv founded in 1834 is considered the most prestigious university in Ukraine. Kyiv University is named after Taras Shevchenko, a major figure in Ukrainian arts. At present the are about 20 000 students at 14 faculties and in 6 Institutes.

National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy

National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) was established in 1632 and is the oldest institute of tertiary education in Ukraine. The university is bilingual in English and Ukrainian. With around 3000 students, NaUKMA is one of the smallest universities in Ukraine.

Ivan Franko National University of Lviv

The Lviv University or officially the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (IFNU) was founded in 1661 and is the oldest university in Ukraine one of the oldest in Eastern Europe. The University is ranked among best universities of Ukraine. It is located in the historic city of Lviv of western Ukraine.
