University of Cambridge, London

The University of Cambridge is located 50 miles north of London and is one of the oldest and most distinguished universities in the world. Teaching has taken place in Cambridge since 1209 and today there are over 17,000 students at the University, including almost 3,000 international students from a wide range of countries.

University of Oxford, London

Oxford is the oldest university in the English-speaking world. The exact date of foundation is not known, but teaching existed at Oxford in some form in 1096 and developed rapidly from 1167, when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris. Over 20,000 students study at Oxford, including 11,734 undergraduates and 8,101 postgraduates.

University College, London (UCL)

University College, London (UCL) was founded in 1826 as a drastically different university, opening up English higher education for the first time to people of all beliefs and social backgrounds. That tradition remains alive today. UCL is a modern institution, one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary universities. 21 Nobel prize winners have come from the UCL University.
